Project Overview

We delivered a carefully planned, four‑day whole‑house relocation for a large family home with extensive contents and grounds. Our team handled everything—from packing and dismantling to phased loading, transport and room‑by‑room placement—so the client could move in smoothly with minimal disruption.

Scope of Works

  • Day One: Full professional pack into cartons; protection of furniture and fragile items; placement and preparation of large items (sofas, beds, mirrors, TVs, table tops, pianos, American fridge freezer). Dismantled all authorised items ready for loading.
  • Day Two: Loaded approximately 1,800 cubic feet onto our vehicles and transported to Winchester; delivered to relevant rooms.
  • Day Three & Day Four: Repeated Day Two process to complete the remaining volume and placement.
  • Reassembly: Built six beds (including a day bed) and two triple wardrobes on site.
  • Piano Move: Transported the piano on the final day in a quarter‑full van to keep vehicle weight low; level access at both properties simplified safe handling.
  • Resourcing: Five trained staff attended each day to maintain pace, care and safety.

Challenges and Solutions

  • Scale and volume over multiple days: We scheduled phased loads (≈1,800 cu ft per main load) with a consistent five‑person crew to maintain momentum and protect quality.
  • Large, heavy and delicate items: We used specialist protection, lift aids and load plans for the piano, American fridge freezer, mirrors and table tops; sequences minimised handling and reduced risk.
  • Dismantle/reassemble complexity: Authorised items were catalogued, hardware boxed and labelled; reassembly followed room plans so spaces were usable immediately.
  • Site logistics across properties: Level access benefited the piano move; we still deployed ramps, floor protection and door guards to prevent scuffs and ensure safe routes.

Client Experience

Communication stayed clear and proactive—daily briefings confirmed priorities and room plans. With the same crew on all four days, standards stayed consistent and the family had familiar faces managing their belongings from start to finish.

Outcome

A smooth four‑day relocation with protected transport, accurate room placement and timely reassembly. The household was set up quickly, with key furniture built, wardrobes installed and the piano positioned safely—ready to live in from day one.
